A Passive RFID Location Sensing

چکیده

This paper proposes a location sensing model based on passive RFID systems. The proposed model is useful for identifying the location of moving nodes relative to existing anchor nodes, i.e. nodes with known coordinates, which has applications in logistics, yard and warehouse management. The study explores algorithms for estimating location coordinates. These algorithms are much simpler to implement than other techniques such as signal attenuation that have been suggested by others. The proposed model doesn’t require special hardware and control software that is needed by other approaches. It only requires basic passive RFID readers and tags. The study also demonstrates the implementation of a prototype in a laboratory environment along with the experimental results.
